Navy Seal
by Joe Marcal
This is a Verlinden figure of a Navy Seal that I modified as if he were in Somalia. To the basic kit, I added M4 with grenade launcher and magazine pouch. I made the gloves from putty.
The face was painted with a base-coat of Testors model masters enamels Italian Sand. This was followed by Testors skin tone for highlights, and Braun for a wash.
The rest was of the figure was done with Vallejo acrylics. I like the chalky effect when they’re thinned, giving it a worn look. The bright green on the pants really is that bright on the real pants.
The figure is mounted on an Andrea base which I built up with sculptamold on a “pin” armature.
