Peek-a-boo!
by Brad Brevelle
This is a diorama built around Revell’s 1/48 scale Me262. I painted it using Tamiya paints: Red Brown, Olive Drab, and Sky Blue. The diorama depicts the jet camouflaged next to a road.
Because the United States had the bombing of German airfields a priority, the Luftwaffe hide their aircraft alongside roads to minimize the chance of a successful US air strike.
The tress are actually roots that I pulled up from the ground. Turf was glued to the roots using white glue. Then I sprayed hair-spray over it to seal them.
I used flooring grout to make the road, painting it flat black. And particle board was used for the base.
