Turtle Cove
by Lindsay McCook and Sean Fisher
The assignment for this project was to design an environmental classroom in the marsh.
We decided on a design that opened on all sides so the visitors could take in a panoramic view of the wetlands.
The model deck was constructed by laying down individual pieces of basswood instead of using material such as a scribed basswood sheet. It lends itself to a more elegant design.
The basswood was stained using two coats of highly diluted Tamiya Red Brown acrylic paint
