Emhar 1/72 WWI Tanks
by Mike McCasland
Here are a trio of Emhar 1/72 WWI tanks. They were built straight out of the box.
I hand brushed the paint on using a rather unconventional method. I started by dipping an old, flared out brush in Turpentine, wiping excess off on an old rag.
Then I dipped the brush into paint getting a thinned out version of the paint. It seems to make the paint flow onto the model, etching it into the plastic.
After painting the models, I sprayed Glosscote on them and adhered decals with Solvaset. Then I Dulcoted the whole thing. I used Floquil Rust on the exhaust and tracks.
The Female (with the machine gun in front) was done in dark tan; the Male (with the canon in front) in field drab: and the Whippet in Olive Drab with brown brushed on it.
