Using Model Railroad Parts for Armor and Aircraft
by Chuck Theidel
Here are some quick and easy detailing tips for your aircraft and armor models.
Instead of painting running lights, headlights, taillights and even infrared lights, you can use “MV Products ” lenses. They are available in many different colors and sizes and look more realistic than paint.
Another suggestion to help dress up armor kits is to use “A-Line” or “Model Builders” scale chain sets. These also are available in various sizes that will add more realism to your models.
If you are in need of small plastic turnbuckles or even nuts and washers, than “Grandt Line” products are the way to go. Sometimes even train parts themselves can be cut apart to form parts for your tanks and aircraft.
