During the course of the year, we published a couple of work-in-progress stories about the T-4M torpedo bomber that Joe Weathers was building. Here’s the final update: he finished it and it is hanging from the hobby shop’s ceiling.
To recap – it is a scratch-built “stick & tissue” plane built from a set of old Cleveland Plans. The T-4M was a carrier based torpedo bomber that was in service between the wars.
Taking nine months to make, the wings can fold backwards just like the real ones. The Lewis gun was also scratch-built.
