Spanish Galleon

This Heller 1/200 kit of a Spanish Galleon was built by Robert MacNamara. The ratlines were scratch-built using Evergreen plastic rod.
The rigging was done with EZ Line and the lanterns on the stern were painted with Tamiya Clear Orange.
Robert says that the deck color was the result of a mistake that turned out well. He originally painted it with Tamiya Desert Yellow and then went over it with Tamiya Linoleum Deck.
He didn’t like the way it looked – the streaks were too dark – so he added a light coat of the original color.
